Brief album summaries:

Mer De Noms (2000)

Blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! An excruciating and all-in-all awful album. One of the worst albums that I ever reviewed. Their 2003 follow-up, The Thirteenth Step, however, proves that this band can improve, thankfully.

Overall Album Score: 2.2 out of 10

Average Song Score: 3.0
Album Tilt: 2.0
Artist Tilt: 1.5

Mer De Noms is French For "This Album is Really Really Bad"

The Thirteenth Step (2003)

Thirteen: the unlucky number. "A Perfect Circle," comes up with a stylistically interesting but artistically mediocre alternative metal album. B-L-A-H.

Overall Album Score: 5.5 out of 10

Average Song Score: 6.1
Album Tilt: 5.0
Artist Tilt: 5.5

Don't Take That Thirteenth Step! It's a Doozie!

phern007@aol.com (Libra) received June 27, 2004 ...i personally don't think either albums were as bad as u rated them to be...you saw them your way and only through your eyes. I do admit a few songs are a little dull but that's not the point. Both albums had really good songs and the lyrics were excellent i don't see why this band got such a bad review because it seems like you were the only one that disliked it....

Don Ignacio responds: You're not the only one who was surprised that I am the only person on the planet who cannot stand A Perfect Circle to very little point of redemption. Perhaps I am missing the point of it. Anyway, I'm glad that you enjoy A Perfect Circle ... you obviously have something in life that I lack!

You are a dumbass I dont know what you were thinking writing all that shit i hope someone kicks your ass

Don Ignacio responds: I was beat up by someone in the fifth grade, and so that void's been filled for some time. Thanks for your concern.

ladymarmalade_09@hotmail.com (APC lover) received Jan. 5, 2005

A Perfect Circle is probably one of the best bands to come out of our time. Living in a time filled with annoying pop stars like Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake, APC offers hope for us true music lovers who know good music when we hear it. I don't understand how you can in any way, shape, or form bash APC. Their lyrics are amazing and so is the way in which their songs are composed....I don't think you gave the band a fair chance in your rating.

fuckabitch@backhand.com (gibb) received Jan. 11, 2005

You Are A Fucking Moron! Not only is Maynaard one of the best vocalist out there APC has some of the most original and well composed songs since NIN. Every person in A Perfect circle is a very accomplished musician. Who the fuck do you think you are to start your own website so you could be a critic of thigs you obviously know nothing about. And by the way Maynard is still the lead vocalist for Tool they are home from tour and probably recording/writing songs. Dumbass!!!

sapphire2277@yahoo.com (Michirah) received March 19, 2005

okay, I'd have to disagree with you. Likewise said before there is always a meaning within there songs and unlike most crap which spells everything out for you, it makes you think. Though some yes pourly arranged overall thoughtout. I respect the band for there work which has helped me incredibly with some of my issues in life. It depends on what your into.

Just wanted to let you know that the people commenting negatively on your reviews represent the deplorably loathsome fanbase that listens to crap like this.

P.S. Nickelback! Ugh! Please review some Nickelback albums so people can flame you for saying they suck. Haha.

Don Ignacio responds: I have a few friends who are Nickelback fans ... If I reviewed them, I'd piss off people I actually care about! (On the other hand...)
