...You know what? I'm almost happy. ... Seriously. I really am almost happy. The only thing that's missing is a nice, towering mug of hot chocolate (and about a half bag of marshmallows)! ((Where else do you think I get my inspiration to write all these freaking reviews so quickly??))

Anyway, here's a wonderful new band that'll take all the PUNK and POST-PUNK and DANCEABLE POST-PUNK that ever existed in the world and they'll make you have fun with it! ... And believe me! This is FUN! FUN!!!! FUNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's guitar-oriented fun, too! This isn't one of these stupid pop bands that I'm always reviewing. This is funess that an anti-pop music snob can enjoy, too, presumably.

Really, I just wanted to lift up the legs of my trousers and do a jig! Indeed, this album achieved such a high overall score SPECIFICALLY BECAUSE all these songs are so dang pleasing and entertaining. ... They're not particularly impressive in the artistic sense or in the aesthetic sense (other than most of the songs being CATCHY). Every single one of these songs has a danceable bass line! Combine that with some super melodies, and you got yourself a fantastic album!!!

... So, everybody! Go out and get you some FRANZ FERDINAANANANNANNAND

Overall Album Score: 9.0 out of 10 (What everyone says is true ... Franz Ferdinand is an album that's awesome.)

You see, this song starts out very slowly, but that is only a trick! It's not slow and boring the whole way through!! It turns into a good, danceable retread into post-punk fun stuff... Oh yes! It has a pretty good melody, too, so this is a FUN SONG!!! I really dig the chorus. It's well played and sung, too. You gotta love it.

Tell Her Tonight 9.5/10

I really like the vocal performance! ... Very good. I also really like the melody. ... If these guys keep writing nice, catchy songs like this, then they'll go far for sure! They also sound like they've been doing this for years. ... A good, good, good, good song!

Take Me Out 10/10

I guess this was the big hit. I wouldn't know of course, because I rarely pay attention to such things! Another absolutely, phenomenally catchy and fun song. It has a nice, danceable funtimes atmosphere ... the melody even has several different parts! Are these guys melodic innovators??? Well, I'll never.

The Dark of the Matinee 9.5/10

I can't believe how much fun I'm having!!! ... These guys would be great to hear live, wouldn't they? To bad I live all the way in Wichita Freaking, Kansas. This is another happy upbeat song that's both tremendously FUN and MELODIC. Really ... you must get this album if you like having fun that's not drug related.

This song even has some weird alien Moog synth type things on here! AND IT'S STILL FUN DANCEABLE AND MELODIC!!!!!!!!!! ... Hoorayyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! ... Again, this is remarkably well played. These guys will make it big, I bet, if they haven't already. This is good, tasteful music that you can dance to ... and it's not pop!!!

Cheating on You 8/10

This one doesn't have that sleek sound that I enjoyed so much on the previous songs. This one sounds sloppier ... but it's still good! The melody isn't nearly as catchy, but it still has some'o'that attitude.

Woohooo! We're back to the awesome old slick old danceable stuff! Much of this sounds boring, but it is all turned on its ear whenever they decide to that awesome (and emotion-driven) chorus! ... More greatness from Franzzzzz Ferdinanddddddddd.

Darts of Pleasure 9.5/10

Man! I'm dancing away with all this melodic funness with ... DANCEABLENESS!!!! ... There's even creativeness in this one! ... GEEZ! Unbelievably fun and good! No wonder people love this band ...

Hey! It's a song about me!!! They really didn't have to write a song about me. I was already giving you a good review, dudes. It has nothing to do with this song EXPRESSEDLY ABOUT ME. (Well... no... I guess my music reviewing alter-ego is "Don Ignacio," so ... this is not about me.) I really enjoy the vocal performance on this song, in particular. He sounds like Iggy Pop! Iggggggyyyyyyy!!! And this song is YET another fun, danceable, and melodic one.

This sounds a lot like synth-pop! Isn't that the problem that all the punk guys had???? They went synth-pop and then people stopped listening to them? ... Eh, Franz Ferdinand won't fall into that trap, certainly. They haven't faltered on their melody-writing-awesomeness, and this is still another neat, danceable song. ... I'm just dancing the whole night away with Franz. Ferdinand.

40' 8.5/10

This song has, yet, another great melody. This is just a little bit more low-key than a lot of the other tracks present on here. Not the best way to end the album, but ... still good. Okay. See ya! I can't wait to see what the next album looks like! OI)($)(T)#(J)T(J#)(J!
